On December 8, 2019, the first unexplained pneumonia broke out in Wuhan, and was subsequently named the new coronavirus. At the beginning of the Gengzi year, he laid dense stitches in Wuhan and quickly swept the country and around the world. This was another fight between the Chinese and the upgraded virus after SARS in 2003.
I think after many years, if there is a memoir recording the Spring Festival of 2020, there are only 4 words: silence, fear.
Juval Heraly recalled human civilization in "A Brief History of the Future" and said, "Human beings have long been plagued by three issues, namely famine, plague and war, but these issues have gradually disappeared in the new century."
Now it seems that this statement may be wrong, because today famine and war still haunt people in Africa and the Middle East.
And the plague, the SARS epidemic in China in 2003, the H1N1 flu in the United States in 2009, and the Ebola virus in Africa in 2014, including the new crown pneumonia epidemic we are experiencing at the moment, affect human life, society, and the country, including every enterprise. The impact is still very large.
Unfortunately, we cannot restart 2020, and everything is a foregone conclusion. Spring has arrived, but it's just a little bit cold. Interior design is also a tertiary industry coexisting with the physical industry. It is believed that all practitioners, especially Party A and designers, are in the anxiety and bewilderment stage. It is unknown when the epidemic will end and when the society will end. Can return to normal daze.
TENYER Design just celebrated its fifth birthday, followed by this unprecedented new crown pneumonia. In the face of the epidemic, Teana Design adopted an online office approach to communicate and sort out new working methods and related countermeasures.
At the same time, Teana believes that it will also be a challenging year for the design industry in 2020. At this moment, design companies have to adjust their strategies more. How to do a good job in the design industry's self-help and confidence recovery under the epidemic situation will become a problem faced by every design company.
We predict that there may be a two-level division in the epidemic industry to a greater extent, and the design and communication forms will become more networked. We are also trying to find our own positioning and methods, and use this time to do a good job in internal training. To arrange a certain learning plan for each designer to enrich the time and spirit during the epidemic.
The epidemic made us suffer, but it also made new space for reform.
In the face of the epidemic, our suggestion is to first think about three questions:「Practitioners in the design industry, think about your value to the company? Your value to Party A? How do you become a better yourself?" Think about these three. This problem will not be far behind.
Based on this, Teana Design has sorted out the following 15 suggestions. This is from the design industry of the company's five-year history of development, carefully shared.For colleagues in the design industry, forget about anxiety and respond positively:
Ten tips for design companies
1. Every design company needs to start to calculate the accounts, the management of receivables and payables, the management of cash flow, make a good inventory of the family, prepare for the worst situation in the future, and make efforts in the best direction;
2. Keep in touch with the important party you serve, understand their difficulties, dilemmas and conditions, and help your party to think and help. Don't care if these are within the scope of the service content, Party A is good, you will be good;
3. Pass on the real situation with the team members and make clear who is the person who can cope with the company and overcome the difficulties. At this moment, it may be the best opportunity to unite the team's centripetal force, and those who can share the problem can share the future together;
4. Control the size of the team, eliminate the recruitment of non-critical and non-essential personnel, and optimize the incentive system. Only projects can have benefits, and fixed expenses need to be strictly controlled;
5. Under some restrictions needed to control the epidemic, the commercial activities of the society will gradually resume, and planning and dissemination will not be absent, so it is necessary to actively prepare the next dissemination plan and be more proactive;
6. We can no longer have a holiday mentality. We must be nervous at this moment. We should work out the working mechanism, processes and communication methods during the extraordinary period. There is no special difference except that we are not working in the office.
7. Now is the best time to think about and optimize the organizational structure, management processes, service products, cohesive team, trial and error new ideas, do all the things you have always wanted to do but have no time to do, and make the most of this time to this Lay the foundation in the year, and welcome more and greater business opportunities in the future;
8. Break out of the design and division of labor, explore more about the nature of some industries, pay more attention to Chinese society and people ’s livelihood, choose some directions and perspectives, and do more research and thinking. Although you do n’t have a skill, you can at least make yourself more Different thinking angles, Party A always needs freshness, even the best ideas and products will be fatigued.
9. For companies and individuals, opportunities are in cross-cutting areas. To maximize the experience, connections and assets you have accumulated in this industry, to fully reuse time, to find cross-cutting opportunities in almost all business areas related to design.
10. Don't stick to the routines, rules, processes and practices of the current design industry. Any new business opportunity exists in the game of breaking and standing. Without breaking or standing, any method that can make the efficiency higher, the cycle change faster, the burden lighter, and the risk more controllable is the new business opportunity. The DNA of design is innovation. You can't just stay on your lips, it's time to be brave.
For designers, we also have five suggestions
1. Put down your body and use a common phrase to say "Broad world, great achievements." No matter how long you have been in the industry, two or twenty years, you need to accept a reality. The design industry is iterating very quickly. Your cognitive needs Keep up with the times. If you can't, why should Party A pay you to help them make the design.
2. "Read thousands of books and walk thousands of miles." The core competitiveness of practitioners in this industry is not in the eight hours of work every day, but to observe and think in life, to talk to people, and to breathe during the journey. Your skills are actually a craft job. The more you accumulate, the more opportunities you can gain. Don't let observation and precipitation become your burden. This should be the most natural part of life.
3. Always be curious, which is especially needed in this industry. When you become curious about everything around you, you should leave the industry. All opportunities exist in curiosity. Thanks to the drive of curiosity, but also to curiosity, to explore more about the unknown. Curiosity to new things can make your life more exciting.
4. Don't complain about why your income is not enough or things are always so much, think about what value you have created. When your boss, client, or companion hears that you often complain, you can easily be labeled and easily become the first person to be eliminated. One fact is that positive people are more popular regardless of their ability, so do A positive person.
5. Be good to others, but don't be afraid to offend people and be responsible. A person's character is his most valuable asset. It is consistent with your Party A, partners (suppliers), colleagues, bosses, and subordinates, has a good reputation, has principles, and dares to bear responsibility. Your opportunities will be much more. And time will give you generous returns.
There will be many opportunities in the design industry of 2020
Let's talk about something that is closely related to the design industry.
It is undeniable that the epidemic has different effects on various industries, and there may be large-scale industrial adjustments. Through the forecast of various data, the GDP growth rates in the first quarter, second quarter, third quarter, and fourth quarter of 2020 are expected to be 3.3%, 5.1%, 5.7%, and 5.8%, respectively. The GDP growth rate in 2020 is 5.1%.
With reference to SARS in 2003, some people say that it is not the vaccine, but the temperature that overcomes the virus. After the warming up at the end of March, the new crown virus may be restrained by rising temperatures, so some experts predict that the panic shutdown period caused by the epidemic will take another one and a half months.
When the epidemic is over, the economy will pick up.
After experiencing travel restrictions and home segregation during the epidemic period, people will be more eager to own their own homes. At least when the epidemic is raging, they can protect themselves and their loved ones. The slight recovery in the real estate industry will drive the interior design industry's recovery from upstream;
Chinese people have lost too much passion during this Spring Festival. After the epidemic is over, there will be a wave of retaliatory consumption, which will be concentrated in the catering industry, entertainment industry, tourism, hotel industry, etc .; the severe damage they have suffered in the epidemic is expected A blowout burst in the second quarter, which gradually opened various types of industry store buildings, which led to a small climax of space design;
In this outbreak, the problem of graded diagnosis and treatment has been magnified once again. How to allocate China's limited medical resources more effectively is a major proposition. As the provincial capital and front row city of Hubei, Wuhan's daily medical reserves should be sufficient, and the medical support nationwide after the outbreak reflects the expansion of the nation's medical industry. The design work and design abilities of these government, enterprise, and medical units need more learning and improvement, and they will cover a wider range of design fields.
In the 1990s, American management scientist Peter Senge published a super-selling book called The Fifth Cultivation. He found that American entrepreneurs love learning, but cannot stop the great changes in the industry. Under the impact of the rapid development of Japan, the US economy is facing a large-scale transformation of the manufacturing industry, pushing the world into the third wave.
In the face of a rapidly changing world, Peter Senge analyzed that only companies that know how to inspire enthusiasm and ability to learn at all levels within an organization can be proud of their leaders.
Because you are a lion alone, you cannot lead a group of sheep to victory. You lion, you must turn all employees into lions.
In the past 30 years, he surveyed many Chinese companies and found that they have one common feature: in the process of corporate progress and transformation, decisions are not made by the boss, but by middle-level cadres and grassroots employees. Soldiers who can hear the sound of gunfire can find out earlier that the company needs change.
So Peter Senge believes that the companies that can go to success are those who study hard.
The new crown epidemic has made designers or design companies have a faster or more obvious change. Anyway:no winter will not pass, no spring will not come.
Through this epidemic, I believe that people will pay more attention to family relationships and details of life. We also hope that as the times change, designers can be the best leaders and discover more ways to open lives.
Probably many years later, we will cruelly say to ourselves, I thank that new crown pneumonia, which pushed us to an end, but also rediscovered new possibilities.
Finally, I will share this sentence with you——that have not destroyed us will make us stronger.
